UK Marketing Leaderboards
Real brands. Real scores. Industry by industry, we break down how the UK’s most visible businesses handle social media, websites, email, SEO, paid ads, reviews and branding, so you know exactly what good looks like in your sector.
Key findings, October 2026
Whito has scored 295 brands across 60 UK leaderboards on seven marketing channels: social, website, email, SEO, paid, reviews and brand. Every score is based on publicly visible activity only, and brands cannot pay to appear or to change a score.
- Across all scorecards, email is the weakest channel (6.1/10 average) and brand presentation the strongest (7.6/10). The full cross-industry analysis is in UK Marketing Channel Benchmarks 2026.
- The highest scoring brand on any Whito leaderboard is Specsavers, at 8.9 out of 10, followed by Barratt Homes and Boots (both 8.7), then Hays Travel, Huel and Pets at Home Vet Group (all 8.6).
- The biggest ad budget rarely wins. Purplebricks outspent every UK estate agent and posted a £37.3m loss (year to 31 March 2024), while Knight Frank, the lightest consumer advertiser of the five, topped its table.
- Email is the most neglected channel in UK business marketing. In several industries, not one national brand runs a visible newsletter.
