The window-industry systems
| Vendor | Published price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Tommy Trinder, Framepoint, Start | £120 a month annual, £145 monthly, plus VAT | 1 user, 15 products |
| Tommy Trinder, Grow | £220 a month annual, £245 monthly, plus VAT | 5 users, 25 products |
| Tommy Trinder, Fly! | £320 a month annual, £345 monthly, plus VAT | 10 users, unlimited products |
| Tommy Trinder, Superfly! | £500 a month annual, £550 monthly, plus VAT | Up to 15 users, 100 products |
| Business Micros | Not published | Arrange a demo or make an enquiry |
| Window Designer, owned by Cyncly | Not published | Request a demo only |
Tommy Trinder publishes a note worth reading before you sign: prices are locked for the first year, and thereafter rise each year in line with inflation and usage. That is a clearer statement of a renewal mechanism than most vendors give, and it is still an open-ended escalator you should budget for.

The split, and what it actually means
Every general trade app that publishes a price does so per user per month at £28 to £50. Every window-industry-specific system either publishes a flat company price well above that, or publishes nothing at all.
So a one-van installer comparing quoting software is comparing £28 a month against £145 a month against a demo request. Those are three different business models presented as one product category, and the feature comparison most buyers start with is the wrong axis entirely.
The honest way to think about it: a general trade app manages jobs. A window system prices a made-to-measure product with hundreds of configuration options and produces a survey and an order. If you sell supply and fit from a manufacturer’s range, the second thing is a different job from the first, and £145 a month against £34 is not the comparison. Whether you need product configuration at all is.
The dollar problem, again
Jobber’s UK pricing page displays US dollars only. A UK installer budgeting from it carries currency exposure on a cost base quoted in pounds, and the figure compared against Tradify’s £34 is not like for like.
This is not unique. When Whito read every live pricing page of 27 business software vendors in August 2026, only 9 published a genuine price in pounds for UK buyers and only 6 stated whether VAT was included.
What to ask before you sign
- Price in pounds, per user or per company, and does it include VAT?
- Minimum term, minimum users, and precisely what happens at renewal?
- Setup, onboarding or data migration fee, stated separately?
- Does it hold your product configuration, and who owns that data if you leave?
- Can you export customers, quotes and job history in a usable format, and at what cost?
- What does it cost when you add a surveyor or a second fitting team?
Question four is specific to this trade and it is the expensive one. A window system that holds years of configured product data is very hard to leave, and the export terms are the whole negotiation.
Common questions
What is the cheapest quoting software for a window installer?
Of the vendors publishing a price in pounds on 8 September 2026, Powered Now and Klipboard both start at £28 per user a month, Powered Now excluding VAT. That is a statement about published pricing, not about product fit, because neither is a window product configurator.
Is a window-specific system worth the difference?
It depends entirely on whether you need made-to-measure product configuration and a survey-to-order flow. If you quote from a manufacturer’s range with many options, probably. If you fit standard products and manage jobs, a general trade app at a third of the price does the job.
Why do Business Micros and Cyncly not publish prices?
We do not know and we are not going to guess. Both pages direct to a demo request. The effect on you is that you cannot shortlist without entering a sales process, which is a real time cost in a trade where your time is the product.
