The directory
Is a Whito listing really free?
Yes, and it stays free. We do not charge a business to appear, we do not sell placement, and we do not sell your enquiries to anyone else. See pricing for the full picture.
How do I get listed?
Use the list your business form. Tell us the trade, the areas you cover, your website and any accreditations. We check the details, write the listing ourselves, and publish it.
My business is already on Whito and I did not put it there. Why?
Some listings are compiled by us from information the business already publishes, such as its own website, plus public registers like Companies House. Those are labelled as unverified until the business claims them. Nothing is invented and nothing private is published.
How do I get my listing removed?
Email hello@whito.co.uk and ask. We do not argue the point and we do not charge for it. The full route is on our corrections and removals page.
What does the Verified badge actually mean?
It means we checked the business name and company number against Companies House, and checked the website and contact details resolve to the same business. That is all it means.
It is not an endorsement, not a quality rating, and not a guarantee of the work. It says the business is who it says it is.
Can I pay to rank higher in the directory?
No. Position is not for sale. If that ever changes we will label it clearly on the page, not bury it in a footer.

What is the AI readiness check?
A free check that scores your site out of 100 on how readable it is to AI assistants and search engines. No email needed, and the result appears on the page. Every check is named, so you can see what was tested. Run it at whito.co.uk/scorecard.
Is the growth report free too?
Yes. It is built from what you tell us and from information that is already public. No card, and no obligation to buy anything afterwards.
The paid work
What does the Whito Audit include?
A person reviews your whole setup: website, listings, search visibility and how AI tools see you. You get a written report with actions in priority order, and a call to walk through it. It is £497 as a one-off payment, with a 14 day guarantee. Details on the pricing page.
Should I buy the audit?
Not if you are not spending anything on marketing yet. Claim the free listing, run the free check, fix what it tells you, and come back when there is something worth reviewing. Structure before scale.
What is Whito Intelligence?
Paid research reports and datasets for brands and agencies, priced individually. Different product, different buyer. See Whito Intelligence.
Do you add VAT?
No. Whito Ltd is not VAT registered, so the price you see is the total payable.
Do you do the marketing for me?
No. Whito is not an agency. We do not run ad accounts, manage budgets or act on your behalf with suppliers. If that is what you need, we will say so rather than sell you something else.

How does Whito make money?
Audits, research reports, and affiliate links on some tool recommendations. None of it affects what we recommend or where anything ranks. The full breakdown is on how we make money.
Where do your figures come from?
Every study states its method, its sample and the dates it was collected. Sources are listed on data and sources, and our editorial policy sets out how we write.
You have published something wrong about my business.
Tell us and we will fix it. Email hello@whito.co.uk with the page address and what is wrong. We correct genuine errors, and we say on the page that we have corrected them rather than editing quietly. See corrections, right of reply and removals.
What do you do with my data?
It is all set out in the privacy policy, in plain English. The short version: we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted by asking.
