This guide does not rank clinic software. It reports what each vendor published on its own pricing page on one day, 8 September 2026, and what it did not. There are no affiliate links on this page and Whito is paid nothing by any vendor named.
We did it that way because the finding turned out to be the pricing, not the features.
What we found
Of five aesthetics platforms we tried to open, exactly one published a readable price in pounds.
| Platform | What the pricing page showed on 8 September 2026 |
|---|---|
| GlowdayPRO | Published in pounds. £10 a month plus VAT per practitioner up to 10 patients, £24 up to 100, £39 unlimited, extra practitioner £15 |
| Pabau | No price in pounds. Solo plan quoted at 62 US dollars a month for one user; Team, Medium, Group and Enterprise price on request |
| Aesthetic Nurse Software | No price published. Three tiers named, price generated by a slider that did not render a figure |
| Phorest | Could not open. The UK pricing page failed with a redirect loop |
| Fresha | Could not read. The page returned metadata and tracking tags with no pricing content |
GlowdayPRO also publishes its card processing rate, 1.69 per cent plus 20p per transaction, which is a processing fee rather than a platform commission. It does not publish a booking commission or listing fee for the consumer-facing Glowday marketplace.
Why the price opacity matters more here than elsewhere
A clinic buying practice software is choosing the system that will hold patient records, consent forms and the prescribing audit trail. Switching later is expensive and clinically awkward. That is exactly the situation in which a buyer should be able to compare on price before entering a sales funnel, and in which most of this market will not let them.
It is not unique to aesthetics. Whito’s software waste work has found the same pattern repeatedly: only 9 of 27 business software vendors published a genuine price in pounds for UK buyers when we read every live pricing page in August 2026, and just 6 of 27 stated on the pricing page whether VAT was included.
The dollar problem
Pabau’s published figure is in US dollars. A UK clinic buying on a dollar price carries currency exposure on its own cost base while quoting patients in pounds. That is not a reason to reject a product, but it is a real cost that never appears in a feature comparison, and it is worth asking the vendor to fix the currency in writing before you sign.
What to actually ask a vendor
- What is the price in pounds, per user or per practitioner, and does it include VAT?
- What is the minimum term, and what does the price do at renewal?
- Is there a setup, onboarding or migration fee, and how much?
- Can I export my full patient record set, including consent forms and photographs, in a usable format, and what does that cost?
- Where is the data hosted, and who is the data controller?
- What happens to booking and reminder messaging costs as patient numbers grow?
The export question is the one vendors answer least clearly and the one that decides how expensive your next decision is.
The cheaper stack
A single-practitioner clinic does not need a full practice management system on day one. Whito’s price check of 50 tools in July 2026 put a credible sole trader software stack at about £18 a month, against roughly £2,635 a year including VAT for a five person service business.
The honest sequence is: run on the cheapest thing that keeps records safely and legally, and buy the clinic platform when the diary, not the brochure, says you need it.
Common questions
Which aesthetics software is cheapest?
Of the platforms publishing a price in pounds on 8 September 2026, GlowdayPRO’s entry tier at £10 a month plus VAT per practitioner was the lowest we could read. That is a statement about published pricing, not about which product suits your clinic, because four competitors would not show a number to compare it against.
Why will vendors not publish prices?
Usually because pricing is negotiated by seat count, region or module, and publishing a figure removes that flexibility. The effect on the buyer is the same either way: you cannot shortlist without booking calls.
Does Whito take affiliate commission on these?
Not on this page. Where Whito does hold an affiliate relationship anywhere on the site, it is disclosed on the page it appears on.
