Whito takes your privacy seriously. Here is a clear, plain-English explanation of how we handle your information.
What data we collect
Free Growth Report. When you complete the Free Growth Report, we collect the information you provide about your business: your business type, website URL, current marketing activity, and your email address. This data is used to generate your personalised report and, if you opt in, to send you Whito Weekly.
Paid Deep Audit. For the audit, we collect your business details, website URL, payment information (processed securely through our payment provider), and any additional information you share about your marketing setup. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored on Whito’s servers.
Whito Weekly subscribers. We collect your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter. That is it. We do not ask for your name, phone number, or any other personal details unless you choose to provide them.
Website visitors. Like most websites, we use analytics to understand how people use the Whito site. This includes anonymised data about page views, traffic sources, and device types. We use this to improve the website, not to track individuals.
How we use your data
Your data is used for the specific purpose you provided it for. If you completed the Free Growth Report, we use your information to generate your report. If you subscribed to Whito Weekly, we use your email to send the newsletter. If you paid for an audit, we use your details to conduct the audit and deliver the report.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your email address with other companies for marketing purposes. We do not use your data in ways you would not expect.
GDPR compliance
Whito complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been handled improperly.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@whito.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days, as required by law.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and access controls. We use reputable, GDPR-compliant hosting and email service providers. Access to personal data is restricted to Whito team members who need it to deliver our services.
The Whito website uses cookies for essential functionality and analytics. Essential cookies are required for the website to work properly. Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or the cookie notice on our website.
Third-party services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate Whito: a payment processor for audit payments, an email service provider for Whito Weekly, and analytics tools for website performance. Each of these providers is GDPR-compliant and processes data only as required to deliver their specific service.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to how we handle your data, we will update this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of our full privacy policy.
