Published UK SEO prices in the Whito file, June 2026: median £799 a month across 45 prices. This page is a reading of that file, not a new sample.

Nobody gets found online with one purchase. The business asking “how much does SEO cost” is really asking a bigger question: what does the whole stack cost, search, ads, social and content together?

Most cost guides answer channel by channel and leave you to do the sum. This page sets out the stack. Every figure on it is read from the Whito file, the June 2026 collection of 128 published prices from 47 UK providers. Nothing here is a new sample.

The stack, priced from the file

Four purchases cover most of getting found online. The file prices three of them directly; the SEO number is in the box above and we will not repeat it as a second figure.

  • Website. The front door. Median published one-off build in the file: £520 across 28 UK packages. One-off, not monthly.
  • SEO. The published market is in the file block at the top of this page. Monthly, and the slowest channel to pay back.
  • Paid search. Median published PPC management price in the file: £470 a month, from 24 published prices, and the ad spend itself sits on top.
  • Social. Median published management price in the file: £358 a month, from 26 published prices. Content production is often a separate line.

How to read the stack

The medians above are published prices: what providers put on their own pricing pages. What you are quoted is a different number with a different label, and what you budget is a third. Keep the three labels apart when you sum the stack.

Watch the overlap before you buy twice. Many SEO retainers include content. Many social packages include ad management. The channel-by-channel reference ranges, with what each tier includes, are on the UK Marketing Cost Index, and the index is derived from the same file as this page.

Sum it for your own case

The UK Marketing Cost Calculator builds the stack for your stage and services from the published ranges, and checks a quote against them. For how much of your revenue the whole stack should take, see how much marketing should cost.

The takeaway: getting found online is a stack, not a channel. Price the stack from one file, label every number, and the sum stops being a guess.
