Everything about business listings on the Whito directory: how they get there, what claiming does, what is free, what is paid, and how to change or remove one.
Why is my business on Whito?
We build listings from public information, including your website and, where applicable, the Companies House register, so people and AI assistants searching for your trade can find accurate details. Listings built this way are marked “Unclaimed” until you confirm them. A listing is never a recommendation, and we never invent reviews.
How do I claim my listing?
Use the List your business page and enter your business name. Claiming is free. We confirm your identity and a working contact, then mark your listing “Verified”. Verified businesses appear above unclaimed ones on every list, and that position is never for sale.
What does the Verified badge mean?
It means we checked the business name and company number against Companies House, and checked the website and contact details resolve to the same business. That is all it means.
It is not an endorsement, not a quality rating, and not a guarantee of the work. It says the business is who it says it is.
How do I correct or remove a listing?
Email hello@whito.co.uk with the listing address and what needs changing. Corrections are free for every business, claimed or not. If you want your business removed from Whito entirely, we take the listing down.
