Funeral management software exists, Eulogica and PlotBox are established names, but none of the specialist vendors we checked published a UK price on 4 September 2026: all sell by demo and quote. That is not a verdict on the tools, only on what can honestly be printed. Here is what can, by stage, with no affiliate links anywhere.

Small independent firm

Accounts with published prices: Xero from £18 a month or FreeAgent at £19, free with a NatWest, RBS, Ulster Bank or Mettle business account, both read 4 September 2026. A shared calendar with genuine on-call handover, a document template set for the arranging checklist, and a monthly reminder to verify the Google profile details cover most operational needs at this scale without specialist spend.

The specialist platforms, honestly handled

Walking into a quote-led sale, take the discipline the vendors did not offer: a written list of the admin hours each week the tool must remove, a per-funeral cost ceiling, and a requirement that any figure quoted arrives in writing. Only 9 of 27 business software vendors published a real pound price in our August 2026 read of every live pricing page, and unpublished pricing consistently favours the seller.

The memorial and donation layer

One adjacent category does publish: MuchLoved, a registered charity, offers funeral director packages from £40 a month with a free option for small independents and a 3.2% donation fee including Gift Aid handling, read 4 September 2026. For firms whose families increasingly ask about online tributes and charity collections, it is the rare priced, checkable option in this trade’s software market.

Common questions

What software do UK funeral directors use?

Specialist platforms such as Eulogica and PlotBox exist but published no UK prices when Whito checked on 4 September 2026. Published costs in this trade are generic: Xero from £18 or FreeAgent at £19 for accounts, and MuchLoved’s tribute packages from £40 a month with a free small-firm tier.

How should a funeral director evaluate quote-only software?

With written requirements: the admin hours it must remove, a per-funeral cost ceiling, and all figures in writing. Unpublished pricing favours the seller, so bring your own anchor.

Does Whito earn commission on these tools?

No. Nothing here is an affiliate link and no vendor has paid to appear. Prices are printed only where a vendor’s own UK page published one on the date shown.
